About CLAVE 2026:
The Convening
CLAVE 2026 is Pratham International’s first regional convening for Latin America and the Caribbean, bringing together government representatives, civil society organisations, researchers, development partners and education practitioners working to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN).
Phases
The convening comprises three complementary components: a field visit, a regional conference and a technical workshop. Participants may attend one or more components depending on their role and invitation.
Phase 1: Field Visit | 30 September to 1 October | Classroom visits and direct observation of TaRL implementation in Colombia. | Limited participation |
Phase 2: Regional Conference | 2 to 3 October | Regional policy dialogue, evidence sharing and high-level discussions. | All invited delegates |
Phase 3: Technical Workshop | 5 to 7 October | Practical workshops on programme design, implementation and scaling. | Priority for technical and programme leads; limited participation |
Core Objectives
- Share lessons and implementation experience from proven approaches to foundational learning.
- Bring together governments, civil society, researchers and donors to strengthen regional collaboration.
- Launch a sustained community of practice for organisations working on foundational literacy and numeracy across the region.
